Michael Merzenich discusses plasticity in autism

On 29 January, Michael Merzenich discussed the role of brain plasticity — the ability of neurons to change the strength and arrangement of their connections  — in neurodevelopmental disorders.

He also presented a new video-game-like platform that he and his team developed for evaluating and improving cognitive abilities in people with autism. Merzenich is professor emeritus of neuroscience at the University of California, San Francisco.
